Wallace Fencing Academy

Braes High School is the local school club in Wallacestone.

The club caters for pupils from Primary 5 to Secondary 6 classes.

Head coach - Dusty

Assistant coaches - Morag,

                          Calum & Mhairi

Primary 5/6 -  3.45 to 4.30pm

This club introduces pupils to the basic principles and technical elements of fencing. We use plastic foils as they are lighter, safer and encourage correct technique. We are the only club in Scotland to cater for younger fencers in this way.

Primary 6/7/S1-S4 - 4.30 till 6pm.

This is the main club for learning to fence. The older pupils train with ‘steam’ metal foils, learning the basics of fencing by following the British Academy of Fencing’s proficiency award scheme.

The more experienced fencers are encouraged to attend the Linlithgow Adult club on Tuesdays from 6.30pm till 9.30pm for electric fencing and individual lessons.
